Dana Hernandez is a teenage self-taught artist. Born in Florida, this tropical, Afro-Latina artist is already making her mark in the digital art world. Her passion for art began in first grade. Starting with basic stick figures, she knew she wanted to do so much more with her work. Over time, she began learning how to become more creative with her artwork.
Her most notable pieces are her Disney Fairy Tale Collection. Her love of Disney and its princesses has brought life into the characters through intricate detailing and vibrant colors. Her Princess Tiana piece has won contests locally and has been a viral social media piece showcasing throughout the world.
Visualizing characters and bringing them to life has brought Dana the wonderful experience of partnering with an established author. In 2021, Dana illustrated and published her first book, Noah’s Superpower along with a coloring book. This book is a labor of love. The book is about a real-life young boy named Noah. In such a short amount of time, Noah’s Super Power has done well.
With aspirations of finishing high school via homeschooling, Dana is honored to be illustrating her second book, LaToya’s Toolbox. Her vision is to become a full-time professional illustrator and to continue bringing light into this world via her artwork.
